Badly balanced characters, whose abilities can be modified with special cards, are unfortunately commonplace, and often without a huge dose of luck we will repeat selected missions again and again. It is not possible to walk the game together on a couch.Īs the cooperation mode and the main storyline for one player are one player, we can easily avoid the frustration associated with too difficult missions.
So if you were hoping that a friend would help you in completing the mission – let him stay at home and start the game. What unfortunately surprised me negatively – cooperation is also available only via the network. Therefore, the co-op mode, as interesting as it sounds, rarely works. Nothing is more depressing than failures due to network problems. And here – on average, a specific lag every few minutes, which, if you wanted to avoid attacks, resulted in collecting a bareback. For each round I had to wait about a minute for the synchronization to take place (With whom? What? Not shown), then finally the fight began. The problem with the cooperation mode, which can be unlocked after playing a few story missions, is the network code. When the system does not find us enough partners, we get AI-controlled warriors who, unfortunately – but are ordinary cannon fodder. In this mode, depending on the task, we have to either defeat the opposing team, or collect as many points as possible (and we score for defeating the opponent) within a given time, or – what is most interesting – collect all the Dragon Balls. Only one time in a row I finally managed to get into the game. And with that, I had a problem with that, because the game stubbornly threw out a message about the inability to find partners for the game. Unfortunately – I was thrown into the online lobby, where I had to wait to find players. Entering what was called Battle, I hoped to get the option to play a duel against a local companion. At this point, I looked at the internet again to make sure I was dealing with a brawl.

Unfortunately, the game is very average and seems to be released in a hurry, even though it was in production for a long time by today’s standards.Īfter quite an interesting opening, which will undoubtedly remind most players of their childhood, when each of them sat in front of the TV and watched Goku’s adventures, we are greeted by the main menu. A bow to Dragon Balls enthusiasts would have worked, if not for one snag.

Therefore, the idea for Battle of Z, which alludes to the Z saga and the animated, canonical movie Battle of Gods. The Raging Blast sub-series was moderately received, so it was decided to change something. Almost a whole generation has passed and they have not been produced at least as successfully as those that hit PlayStation 2. But of course this will change after the next games comes out, hopefully it will be as overwhelming as Battle of Z is.I feel sorry for the devoted fans of Dragon Ball.

Not to mention the cross platform multi player online, whether co-op or battle, just the most wanted title for me as a PS3 owner.

Moreover, as a player of each of the ps2 games of dbz, owner of ultimate tenkaichi and also a fan who knows of the other games and spent most of his time watching videos of those games and even watching videos of this specific title until I got the chance to own it myself, I can only say it's defenetly a worthwhile game. As for the plot, I believe there is no game that is synchronized with the real plot better than this awesome title. But the dbz fans who waited long enough for their dream called dbz Battle of Z were shocked to see the way of their d ream coming true. Who doesn't like the fact that it's dbz, should enjoy the awesome and uniqe gameplay of this amazing game. As a PS3 player it's like a dream coming true. As a fan of dbz it's like a dream coming true. Obviously I ran to buy a PS3 console with a few games to entertain myself, until I had enough money to order my greatest dream of dbz. So I decided to do a research about the platforms, xbox 360 VS PS3, and found out a winner who was the PS3. But then I faced a problem, which was that I owned only PS2, WII and a PC. When I first heard that there will be a new dbz game, after watching the new movie I just knew I had to get it somehow, and that's before I even saw it's gameplay.
